Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose

Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is a non-toxic, odorless, calorie-free white powder. HPMC is almost insoluble in absolute ethanol, ether and acetone. It can be dissolved in water, and the aqueous solution is quite stable at normal temperature. It has excellent dispersibility, adhesion, thickening, emulsifying, water retention and film-forming properties, as well as impermeability to grease. Widely used in construction, building materials, dispersible coatings, etc. For example, if it is added in the coating industry, it can be used as a film-forming agent and thickener, which is a great help to improve the fluidity of the coating.
