RDP is based on an aqueous polymer dispersion and does not contain any solvents. In this process, the water-emulsified monomer (with the initiator) reacts to start emulsion polymerization, through which the monomers are connected to form a long-chain molecule, a polymer. In this polymer emulsion, the stabilizer on the surface of the particles must prevent the latex from coalescing under any circumstances and thus causing an unstable state. Then by adding different additives to prepare a mixture for spray drying, and then add protective colloid and anti-caking agent to make the polymer form a free flowing powder that can be redispersed in water after spray drying.
RDP can form a film as a second adhesive after dispersion to enhance its role; protect the colloid from being absorbed by the mortar system; the film-forming polymer resin acts as a reinforcing material and is distributed throughout the mortar system, thereby increasing the cohesion of the mortar.

The redispersible latex powder is usually in the form of white powder. Its component is polymer resin, which is located in the core part of the rubber powder particles, and is also the main component of the redispersible latex powder. A layer of hydrophilic material wrapped on the surface of the redispersible latex powder particles, most of the maintenance colloid of the redispersible latex powder is polyvinyl alcohol.

1. Application in repairing mortar

4. Application in ceramic tile adhesive
Provide high-strength bonding for the mortar and give the mortar enough flexibility to strain the different thermal expansion coefficients of the substrate and the ceramic tile.
