Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, referred to as HPMC, is known as industrial monosodium glutamate. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose itself also has different types, divided into cold water instant type and hot melt type. Cold water instant type HPMC is widely used and can be applied to putty In powder, mortar, liquid glue, liquid paint and daily chemical products, hot-melt HPMC is generally used for dry powder products, directly mixed with dry powder and used evenly, such as putty powder and mortar. Cold water instant products are not as good as hot melt types in water retention and product stability, so different types should be selected according to different uses, and a brief introduction to the use of HPMC.
1. Used in putty powder, choose hot melt 100,000-viscosity hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, mortar use method is similar to putty powder.
2. For the preparation of construction glue, since hot-melt products are directly placed in cold water, agglomeration will occur. Choose high-viscosity cold-water instant cellulose.
3. Spraying, use cold water instant type, the faster the viscosity rise time, the better, as long as it does not clump.
