Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose HPMC is a non-ionic, water soluble cellulose ether. It is widely used as thickener, protective colloid, stabilizer, suspending aids and water-retention agents in many industrial applications. It enhances water-retention, besides providing well-balanced properties including open time, slip resistance, adhesion, good impact resistance and shear strength.

Multiple uses of HPMC.
1. Cement mortar: improve the dispersion of mortar, prevent cracks, retain water, and increase hardness.
2. Tile cement: Improve the plasticity of pressed tiles, prevent powdering, retain water and increase viscosity.
3. Refractory material asbestos, etc.: suspending agent, improve fluidity, and improve the base adhesion.
4. Gypsum coagulation material: increase viscosity and retain water.
5. Joint cement: Add joint cement for gypsum board to improve fluidity and retain water.
6. Glue putty: Improve the fluidity of resin putty based putty and keep water.
