Product Description

HPMC is a white or off-white fibrous or granular powder, which is almost insoluble in absolute ethanol and acetone. Quickly disperse and swell in hot water at 80 ~ 90 ºC, and can dissolve relatively quickly after cooling down. HPMC is quite stable at room temperature. It can gel at high temperature, and the gel can change with the solution according to the temperature.  Has excellent wettability, adhesion, and other properties, as well as impermeability to grease. The formed films also have excellent toughness, flexibility and transparency, because HPMC is non-ionic, can be compatible with other emulsifiers, easy to salt out, and the solution is stable in the PH2-12 range.
