As a protective colloid, hec can be used in vinyl acetate emulsion polymerization to improve the stability of the polymerization system in a wide pH range.
In the manufacture of finished products, pigments, fillers and other additives are evenly dispersed, stable and provide a thickening effect.
It can also be used as a dispersant for styrene, acrylate, propylene and other suspended polymers. It can be used in latex paints to significantly increase thickening.
