Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose HPMC
Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is white powder in appearance, non-toxic and tasteless. It is a high molecular compound with ether structure made of cellulose. Referred to as HPMC. HPMC can be dissolved in cold water and form a transparent viscous colloid. When dissolved in water, it can provide multiple functions. It is used as a thickener, protective colloid, stabilizer, suspending agent and aquasorb.

Features and uses
1. HPMC has good water retention, even if it is applied to the substrate with high water absorption, it can provide good operation performance and anti-sagging ability for mortar.
2. HPMC is a non-ionic cellulose, compatible with many kinds of surfactants and water-based polymers. The particles of HPMC are relatively fine, which is more conducive to mixing with gypsum, lime, cement and other materials, so that these mixtures are not easy to agglomerate when dispersed in water, very suitable for cement, lime and gypsum-based plastering mortar, bonding mortar and similar products.
Packaging and storage
1.HPMC is packed in a multi-layer paper bag with polyethylene as the inner layer, and each bag has a net weight of 25 kg.
2.HPMC is not a perishable product. It is recommended to use first come, first use. The product should be stored in the original packaging bag and placed in a dry and clean place away from heat sources. The product is easy to absorb moisture. The packaging is selected to avoid the intrusion of moisture. However, if it is not stored in a dry place, the moisture content of the product in the packaging bag may increase.
